The Arabic and Islamic Division Office at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education received refurbished office and equipment with support from the World Assembly of Muslim Youths (WAMY) through the Sierra Leone Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The items included different furniture such as chairs, desks, cabinets and equipment such as computers, printers, etc.

Dr Ibrahim Jalloh, the Sierra Leone Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presented the equipment to the Ministry whilst thanking and appreciating the donors, World Assembly of Muslim Youths for their continuous support.

On behalf of the Ministry, the Senior Permanent Secretary, Mr David W.S Banya received the equipment and expressed thanks and appreciation to the donors and the Sierra Leone Embassy in Saudi that made it possible.

Mr Ahmad Hassan Bangura, the Assistant Director of the Arabic and Islamic Division expressed utmost satisfaction and gratitude to the donors. He stated that this is the first donation ever to be received from International Donors to the division.
The Arabic and Islamic Division Office is responsible for the supervision and monitoring of all Islamic schools in Sierra Leone.
